Chip Seal

Chipseal is comprised of one or multiple layers of hot liquid asphalt and 3/8" washed aggregate. The aggregate is pressed into the liquid asphalt by compaction and hardens when cooled. Two layers are recommended when going over a base material, then every 5-6 years a layer can be added on top to extend the chipseals' life. One layer is only recommended when going over pavement or concrete.
